Does the thought of eating kale freak you out?

I can understand that. I mean, raw kale tastes like earth, grass, and nutrition.

Good news: kale in a tropical smoothie doesn’t taste like kale. It tastes like pineapples, and sweetness, and delicious, nutritious victory.

What’s the big deal with kale again?

1. High in iron = happy blood and cells

2. High in Vitamin K = happy bone and blood health

3. Filled with super powered antioxidants = happy immune system and protection from cancer

4. High in calcium = happy bones

5. High in a bazillion other vitamins and minerals = happy mind and body

So my non-kale-lovers; stop your complaining and drink your green goodness instead.

Tropical Green Smoothie

1 serving

1 cup coconut water
3-4 big leaves of lacinato kale, thick stems removed
1 banana, frozen
1/2 cup pineapple
1 cup mango, frozen
½ peach
1 T chia seeds
1 T ground flax seeds

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
