Resources

My Favorite Website Resources:

Eat Wild - Find local farms, eggs, meat, and dairy in your area & be a hardcore localvore.
Local Harvest - Find farmer’s markets, local farms, and Community Supported Agriculture in your area!
EWG’s Dirty Dozen - Learn about which fruits and vegetables are the most pesticide ridden, and which are the cleanest. The EWG creates this fantastic list every year and I use it constantly. They also have an app for your phone!
EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Database - Comb through a comprehensive list of beauty products, makeup, shampoo, and so much more with this graded system. What you put on your skin is incredibly important to your overall health, so make sure you’re choosing the best options for you!
Fooducate - Search through a graded comprehensive list of processed foods and common grocery store items to find the best fit for you and your family. They also have an app for your phone!
Seasonal Ingredient Map - Use this interactive map to see what’s in season in your area all year round. Never be confused why there are no strawberries at the market in February every again.
Mind Body Green - One of my website go-to’s for articles from a variety of professionals related to health, wellness, food, exercise, mindfulness, and more. Get on their email subscription for a daily dose of health.

The Books Lining my Shelves:

Knowledge is pure power. Read everything you can about health, food, and nutrition, and then form your own opinions based on what you learn. The more informed and educated you become, the better your food and health choices can be! Side note, just because a book is listed here does not mean that I adamantly follow its nutritional philosophies. I like to keep an open, well-informed mind and follow what works best for me. Note, these are of no particular order - read them all!
