Hemp Seeds
Hemp is a variety of cannabis plant, but these seeds will only get you high on health. They are protein packed and perfect in smoothies, salads, oatmeal, baked goods, granola, and on desserts. Peace, love, and hemp!
- Hemp seeds have the most protein (10 grams per ounce) of any other seed. They have all 20 amino acids, including the 9 our body cannot produce, making hemp seeds a very high quality protein source.
- Hemp seeds are a rich source of polyunsaturated fatty acids: good fats that improve blood cholesterol levels and decrease risk of heart disease.
- These seeds provide one of the most balanced sources of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids of any seed or nut, which is great for cardiovascular health and overall immune support health.
- Other benefits include tons of Vitamin E and zinc, fiber, and B Vitamins.
Vegukate Tips:
Store organic hemp seeds in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them nutritionally fresh.
