Raw (3 Ingredient) Brownies
in Recipes
This is the easiest recipe to ever exist. Even if you struggle in the kitchen you can still make raw brownies. Your children can make raw brownies. Your dog can make raw brownies.
So, let’s make raw brownies!
You will need 5 minutes of your time, a food processor, dates, nuts, and raw cacao powder. That’s it, my friends. There’s no need to sugarcoat this recipe with technical culinary terms too. Just throw everything in a food processor and watch the magical brownie baking happen.
These brownies taste amazing, are gooey, chocolaty, and filled with the most wholesome goodies for your body. These three superstars are:
Mejdool dates – unlike the refined sugar found in most brownie recipes, the dates that sweeten these guys have calcium, potassium, and fiber too. Plus they digest slowly in your body, which prevents any crazy sugar crashes or screaming children.
Nuts – monounsaturated fats are your friends. They protect your heart, help lower cholesterol, and help with the absorption of vitamins and minerals in the body.
Raw Cacao Powder – fresh from the cacao bean with limited processing, cacao powder is an amazing source of antioxidants, magnesium, and iron. It has an incredibly rich chocolate taste and makes everything taste divine.
Grab the kids and the dog; let’s make raw brownies!
Raw (3 Ingredient) Brownies
2 cups medjool dates, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes, pits removed
1 cup nut of choice, raw (pecans, almonds, walnut, or a combination of the three all work great)
3 heaping tablespoons of cacao powder
Pulse nuts in a food processor for 10-20 seconds until roughly chopped. Add in medjool dates and cacao powder and pulse until mixture is thick and sticky, about 30-60 seconds.
Scoop out mixture and spread into a parchment paper lined brownie tray and place in the freezer for 1 hour to set. Once set, cut brownies and store in the refrigerator to devour.
Just a question…. I see so many recipes that I really would LOVE to try like this…. but, I am deathly allergic to ALL tree nuts! Is there anything else that would work just as well? Would raw sunflower seeds or raw pumpkin seeds work at all in their place? Thank you.
Hi Eydie, Yes try raw sunflower seeds! Hope you enjoy!
My granddaughter and I made these today…. easy AND delicious!
